That insert is the only thing that has gone wrong on my Endurace. It probably doesn’t matter that it is scratched, but it needs to be glued well. Mine was not. I bought a replacement and used clear RTV silicone.
Here’s a photo of the part removed. The screw pushes against the long part and holds the seat post. Look down in your frame and make sure everything is lined up. Your screw is loose in your photo.
