I am looking for help in choosing a fun and scenic route for a two day bikepacking trip starting and ending at Glasgow Central station.
I will be arriving around 9am and need to go back to the station by 5pm the next day.
I don't know Scotland and would love some help in choosing something really cool, challenging and picturesque with a bailout option. A ferry sounds cool to me too.
I will be riding mason exposure with 700×50 rear and 29×2.1 front tyres with the intention to camp either in the wild or somewhere on a campsite. I am quite fit and capable of doing around up to 100 miles in varied terrain over 12-13 hours. Considering the Scottish level of difficulty I guess around 250km is feasible but correct me if I am talking nonsense.
Picture of my set up from Holyhead to Chester from last year attached. The only difference will be a restrap rack rather than the saddle bag, which I want to test alongside my new tent.
