I’ve got a spare 29er wheelset kicking around, I have a canyon torque and love ripping that bike, but I’ve recently moved and my trails now are more xc/trail riding focused instead of the dh stuff I used to ride around NorCal area. I’m thinking about getting a hardtail as a result. I know building from frame up is usually more expensive but i think it’d be fun, does anyone know anything about nsbikes and this frame specifically? It seems weirdly priced, like the sale is too good to be true. it’s from bikes online, I know they get kinda a bad rap but I’ve ridden some polygon bikes and honestly don’t think they ride bad at all, just a little heavy and a bit clunky from what I remember. If anyone has any recommendations or knows about the frame please lmk! I don’t have an unlimited budget and am leaning more towards steel/alum/chromoly just because of the price range I wanna stay around and I definitely do not have titanium frame money lol.

If you want a cheap no name hardtail, just buy a Speedone frame on AliExpress for like $230. Look it up on Reddit, it’s a fairly popular budget build.

  2. I have a much older version of that frame 2014? I think. 27.5er. For the money I think that is a steal and I’ve been tempted myself. The geo on mine is kind of dated but I can’t really justify spending the money on the wheels and fork for yet another bike. Other than the dated geo I have no complaints about my frame.

  3. Currently there is some uncertanity around the brand and its ownership and it looks like no one knows what’s the brand closest future. This can explain the weird price, but you must be aware that it might affect the customer support experience and potential warranty claims.

I wouldn’t buy NS atm. I hope they will recover.

They make good dirt jumpers. I don’t know this frame but would assume good to go.

I built up the 27.5 Alu version out of a dead Banshee, great value, great geo, takes a beating, would NS again
