Been troubleshooting this issue since I've gotten the bike
Removed a link from the chain and that did help
But the chain constantly drops when folded – all the time
My summation it's a design flaw with this size chain tensioner as I have a C line and never once had such issues

seems to be a specific issue with your bike, have you taken it to check it where you bought it ?
I fold and unfold my G-line all the time. No issue with the tensioner.
Take it to someone who knows better than you, because this seems like an idiosyncratic issue to your bike. I can think of a number of possible causes, but I think you’d be better served having someone experienced look at it than some rando just listing potential issues.
Tensioner issue is the most likely culprit.
No problem here too. G line electric.
