Girona is one of the most popular cycling destinations in Europe, and most people stay right in the centre of town.
We didn’t.
In this video, we base ourselves just outside Girona and explore what it’s actually like to stay somewhere quieter, closer to the mountains, and away from the usual setup.
There are pros, cons, and a few things we didn’t expect, but it definitely changed the way we experienced riding here.

Dear Alex what should i say ? Thaaaaank you . The Pictures are great, this Region must be pretty awesome. Again thank you for takes US with you.
lol, "all the english and australian in girona and when I come to "Spain" I want to …"
Better not to mention "Spain" in Girona for starters 😉 But thanks so much for your vlogs, really inspiring, loved the one about Nice
Des informations et des astuces très pratiques! Haribo vient à la rescousse!
Est-il possible de faire le trajet Barcelonne-Banyoles ou d'autres régions que vous mentionnez, en autocar (autobus)?Merci beaucoup.
Thanks ..sounds fantastic
❤❤❤
It looks idealic. It's good to stop and enjoy the area and little unexpected places. Not every ride needs to be a TdF stage. See you in May.
Gros merci, information très intéressante, je quitte le Québec demain pour 2 sem en Girone. 🛫🚵♂️🇪🇸🍾
Nice lovely🎉
"If I come to Spain I want to feel like I am in spain", I think the statement sounds counterintuitive as we are trying to have our cake and eat it. An English can say the same about England that he or she will prefer that England is less diverse and more English …
Retention of cultures is what makes every country unique and interesting. However, humans gravitate and overpopulate spaces that have the better life or resources they are looking for. Also, tourists will always be tourists everyone trying to take the same photos and consuming overpriced product due to oversubscribed presence in those countries.
It's a tough one … You are also a tourist or resident In places that some will prefer you are not.
You’re right about busy roads getting in and out of Girona, the tourists and cyclists everywhere, etc. Nevertheless, I had a ridiculously great time in Girona. 😆 Although I was there in early spring. Maybe Girona is just intolerable during more peak season. It is so beautiful around there though. Been to that lake in Banyoles. Costa Brava is surreal. If you stay in Girona you do have to be ready to do some big miles if you want to get to all the different sort of terrain that you show here. Love your videos. Always beautifully done and makes me want to quit my job and pack up my bike!
I didn't quite get the name of the village that you stayed in?
