Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue with my Ultimate CF SL 8 Aero. The “Canyon EP1437-01 Chainsuck Plate” is peeling off, exposing the carbon layer underneath and revealing a rust spot. While removing the plate for maintenance, some paint also came off. What should I do? Is this just a case of reattaching the plate, or should I consider more serious repairs? Thanks in advance for your advice!

It looks just cosmetic to me, won’t do harm if you add something to fill the exposed carbon, may be some resin of some sort? Otherwise, nothing too serious.
Push it. If it goes in is bad, if not it’s just cosmetic.
No crash? The area is still stiff? If yes it just looks cosmetic.
Do someone know what I need to do now ?
The carbon is still stiff, and seems like cosmetic. But how do you put a new plate on ? Do I need to repaint the surface and apply a special glue or something ?
Is that thickness just… paint?
I don’t think this will be much of a problem, I had a similar issue with my bike which I’ve linked. I sent pictures to Canyon who told me that I just need to stick a new plate on, nothing else needed.

Ahh, ain’t nothing a little Windex and a micro cloth towel can’t fix

You don’t need to remove the plate for maintenance.
