I bought a MEC bike used in 2020 for $150 with duel flats and shit. I was pretty sure its stolen looking back.
Not trying to be negative but someone probably misses that bike

Dual suspension isn’t gonna be great for just cruising around. But I wouldn’t complain for $100.

Not sure the best way to go about dealing with this, but my guess (glad I’m not alone): it’s stolen. The frame design definitely seems a tad aged – not to mention the age of what look like 26″ tires (not common on modern MTBs) – but this was definitely a not-that-early-2000s (2010s maybe even??) fairly high end mountain bike – this isn’t a Walmart full-suspension “mountain” bike. Any given component is probably worth >$100 (not that that explains full bike price, but still).
Besides price, was there anything sus about the sale? Trying to get rid of it asap perhaps? I know we’re past the pandemic era when any crappy bike was $200, but this thing looks clean as hell and I couldn’t imagine anybody selling for less than a couple hundred. $100 feels way to good to be true.
That said, any bike you got is good to cruise. Full-suspension is insane overkill and even that front fork with what, like, 150mm of travel is way overkill by itself. Looks like at least the rear shock at least has lockout – engage that to prevent that from wasting energy. If the front fork does too, you can also engage that – effectively defeating the purpose of the suspension, but those tires alone will be more cushioning/”suspension” than like 90% of commuters (that aren’t Walmart MTBs : )

Cleanest $100 bike I’ve seen. Send it.
That has to be a stolen bike
