This trip changed how I think about adventure… because it was so simple.
A short hop from the UK and suddenly you’re cycling through tulip fields, riding a tandem through Keukenhof, and exploring canals and cafés in Utrecht.
This is what “More Adventure, Less Admin” is all about — easy, realistic trips that don’t necessarily need months of planning, or heaps of time to go and enjoy. Life is short. Create opportunities to get out there whenever you can.
In this video:
• Cycling through the tulip fields in Lisse
• Visiting Keukenhof gardens
• Riding a tandem through the flowers 🌷
• Exploring Utrecht’s canals, cafés and city life
• Travelling from the UK by motorhome
It’s not a once-in-a-lifetime trip… it’s something anyone can do.
If you’ve ever felt like life is getting a bit too admin-heavy, and time is finite… this is your reminder to make time to create some easy memories.
Subscribe for more simple adventures.

Here's an interesting stat for you: at the Dutch coast, where you were, if you go up only 1.7 miles, you could see the Suffolk coast!
10:56 Coffeeshops ??
You know that a coffee shop in the Netherlands sells something completely different than coffee…😉
I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in our little country 😊👍
Beautiful trip.
“Holland” or “The Netherlands”.
Same as “England” or the “UK”
I think the bike culture enhances the hospitality culture. City centers are the domain of pedestrians and cyclists. There will be cars, but they're few and slow and actively discouraged from driving through the city center. I checked some of the main UK cities and it's hard to find some seating that isn't next to a big road, or at some small plaza set aside for pedestrians, but still surrounded by busy roads. A bike is a lot easier to park than a car so it's more welcoming to just head into the city center. Having said that, Utrecht is one of the better terrace cities we have.
The brownish colour of the sea is due to sediments (sand, clay). 🌷
