People are tribal, unfortunately. In the same way motorcyclists ignore scooterists, and Harley riders ignore everyone, roadie cyclists don't acknowledge mountain bikers, and everyone discounts electric bike riders. As I look out the window it's snowing sideways, so ignoring other people is pretty easy.
Rob, clearly you haven't fully appreciated the Council's position. They implemented a new way of procurement=Self delivery by the Contractor !! This took a lot of the workload from the Council Employees, no inspections or condition surveys, no checking of works prior to paying contractors etc. This should have resulted in a redution of Council Staff, but, it didn't. All these Staff have to be paid for before they can allocate what is left of their budget to actually carry out repairs. BTW, the 2 M rule only applies to certain car drivers !!!!!!
I once read somewhere if all the councils in the country started tomorrow at the current council work rate it would take 300 years to make all the roads in Britain to a safe and satisfactory condition the infrastructure is in massive decline 😮😮

What grieves me is we are expected to mot our car to keep it safe yet there are killer hazards in the roads. All motorists should refuse to pay road tax until the income is spent on the roads. The government’s are ing this country into the 3rd world. A😊ll eu roads are lovely
It's certainly an absolute nightmare out on the road's Rob. Some driver's are complete idiot's, when driving I've had them overtaking and flashing their light's as I've slowed down to avoid pot hole's!
That was an interesting ride out you did. You are doing very well on the bike again. Did not realise you were into pot hole Olympics Rob. 😂. Looking forward to riding some of those roads again soon.

Well Rob Nottinghamshire has the worst pot holed roads in the country. The roads you showed us are like super highways to me.
And when you do finally find a 50 yard stretch without potholes … along comes the council and installs bloody speed humps on it!
I went from Nailsworth, Minchinhampton to Brimscombe the potholes were horendous!! Jan
