I saw some discussion here recently about MTB with converted cargo fork, so I thought I’d share my creation. It’s a surly 29” fork (unsure the exact model) with a rack made of 2020 aluminum extrusions and brackets with some custom 3D printed parts as well. It’s still a work in progress, I have some temporary bent aluminum brackets on the diagonal supports that I would like to replace with something more substantial, and I want to make some more brackets to attach the MIK rack plate in the middle section. So far it rides well with ~40 lb load, and the handling of the bike is remarkably fun.

    Very inspiring,that folk idea rocks

This is great. Maybe you could also use a fork with the three threaded holes on the sides and bolt it straight to that.

Huh that’s a new kind. And a good one. Very, very interesting.

I posted recently about doing the same!! Looking so sick!
Is it a 1” steerer fork or 1 1/8? Have been searching for a 1” but can only find the later with 29er clearance and disc
