Primary schools plunged into lockdown after ‘man seen with knife’ as parents warned ‘do not come’ and kids shut inside.
Parents were made aware of the horrifying situation this morning following reports of a man with a knife.
TWO primary schools have been plunged into lockdown following reports of a knifeman prowling the local area.
Children at both Bowlee Park Community School and St Mary’s RC Primary School in Manchester have been shut inside this morning over fears for their safety, according to MEN.
Parents were warned to stay away from the area following reports of a man with a knife in Bowlee Park, Middleton, this morning.
Police are investigating the incident while the kids remain safely locked down in the building.
Bowlee Park Primary School was pictured with shutters down all around the building.
Neighbouring school St Mary’s RC Primary School is also reportedly locked down.

Bro that’s my school he tried to climb the fence but the police came just in time
That’s my school I’m a year 5 teachers said it was practice but it was real cos my friend told me I heard police sirens and my school closed the shutters all over the school
