Spent the past few days touring around the highlands. The weather has held up fantastically and it’s been a great time. The original route was supposed to be the badger divide from Inverness to Glasgow but I decided to pivot and ride Inverness -> Fort Augustus via the Great Glen Way
Fort Augustus -> Fort William via the Caledonian Canal and Fort William -> Aviemore via the Wildcat trail after realizing I wouldn’t be able to meet some time constraints I had set.
Bike is a custom build Surly Grappler and it’s handled the weight and trails very well

Well done! I’ve considered the Badger Divide ride. And am 50/50 about tackling it. What constraints did you consider?
Gorgeous scenery! Midges this time of year?
Rode something similar in mid April of this year. Bagder divide from Glasgow, split from the trail before Inverness to ride the moors there. The a slightly modified wildcat across to Inverie (do not recommend the hike a bike at the end), ferry to mallaig and back down to Glasgow from outside of fort William. Phenomenal week.
This looks awesome! Might have to plan a trip to scotland actually.
Looks great! I’m heading to Scotland in July. Riding the Badger divide starting in Glasgow and adding in a loop around the cairngorms. Looking forward to it.
