Everybody here is gonna tell you $1,000 was too much and that nothing with rim brakes is worth anything at all.
I was about to be more “impressed” with the overpriced bike pump. ROTFL!

Is that the roubaix or the sectaur?
Was a solid bike in its day. I don’t think it was worth $1000 still today though. The used market is saturated with 15-20 year old road bikes.
Edit: or did I mean Tarmac?

swap out those gator skins for something decent like gp5000

Congrats! I commuted on a roubaix for years, actually just retired it this week. Love that bike.
Cool bike. This sub will tell you 2x/3x, rim brakes and tubes are obsolete, until the bike marketers start telling them they’re not again.
I literally just got done putting new tires on my 2007 roubaix and was reminded how nice it still felt! Have fun! I’m gonna take mine out on the trails tomorrow.
