They are not called “baptisms for the dead” rather proxy baptisms—the word “dead” isn’t said in the temple. Certain parts of your body are blessed during the “initiatory” portion yes, but only verbally and not touched as one might misinterpret by watching this—only the top of the head is ever physically touched. They are not called “secret handshakes”— they are called “sacred tokens”, and what they represent is spectacular—you’d have to truly experience them to fully understand. Some of the hand signs the models in your pictures are displaying are not done anymore like the one where it looks like thy are gesturing across their necks. In fact, both of those examples in that picture are not accurate. There is never any mention of a “gate to heaven” with angles protecting it requiring you give them information in the ceremonies. I joined the military and my parents got divorced and my mom left the church all at the same time. I decided I wanted to get my own temple work done while I’m alive even though I’m a single woman because being in the military is dangerous. I went with my dad and his side of the family to get my own endowment and do some sealings for the dead. Endowment went fine. I got to the sealing room and the officiant person said for me to come forward with my husband. Shocked, I just said “what?” The guy repeats himself and I did hear him correctly. Me a SINGLE woman was supposed to step forward with my husband. So I said “what?” Again. I am so eloquent when I’m terrified. (I was thinking it is actually a cult and at some point I got married!). But then my aunt and uncle interrupted and said “oh no that’s her dad.”
I felt relieved at the time but now looking back I can see that is messed up for a whole new reason. Was this creep/“church”/cult used to marrying really young girls to bald fat guys that could be their dads?
If we can’t get baptized for someone else while they’re still alive, we most definitely can’t when they pass away. Such a false and horrible ritual. Not one soul that has passed is waiting for a Mormon to be baptized for them.
You,know that if you didn't accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior while you were living ,then you SURELY CAN NOT BE BAPTIZED WHEN YOUR DEAD ! THAT IS JUST WRONG ! Because I was a Convert and was no sooner in this church not even one month then I was allowed to go do Temple Work ,I went twice and when I came home I WAS DRAINED OF ALL ENERGY ,God and the Holy Spirit will Surely let you know when you have overstepped your boundaries that is for sure. I got out after all this ,sent three letters ,one to the Bishop,one to Stakes office and the third to President of the Mormon Church in Utah. I renounced my membership. That experience was just too creepy for me .

For example: 1) … In the New Testament it tells of Bishops, Deacons, Elders , High Priests, Evangelists …but what were their different responsibilities…not much is written ! 2) When was the Christian Sabbath… again very little written ! 3) It tells of the Apostles laying on hands for the Gift of the Holy Ghost….was it important to do it that way? .. it’s not written ! 4) One scripture speaks of Christ after his death preaching to the spirits of Noah’s day ! … again not enough is written for the Christian world to fully understand this! 5) How exactly do you baptize? .. What is said ? …Who can perform this ordinance? .. …again very little written! I could go on and on ! Because so many doctrines and beliefs are unclear it has brought about much confusion and multiple Christian Churches!!!

It's seriously a cult and in my personal experience with the actual Jesus, it's against a lot of this stuff. My "best friend" in middle school was Mormon. Her father deeply hated me thought I was a spoiled brat because due to having Spina Bifida my parents bought me a go-kart due to the fact I couldn't ride a regular two wheel bike. Anyway one day my friend called me over and showed me her parents "collection of toys&videos" it was all cucking and pegging. I could never not laugh at him any time he spoke out against me after. I couldn't get out of my head his 6' wife DOM topping his 5'3 self. The mother also told me it was ok and understandable if I KMS due to depression after losing part of my foot when I was 13(never once expressed this want myself). Just to distance from her daughter if I decided to do so. The mother ended up leaving him for a while due to cheating and living with a 21 year old boy (we were now 18).They visibly enjoyed in very sadistic treatment of their children and the slave driving of them. They took pleasure from causing physical and psychological pain in them&would go out of their way to inflict it. Just biggest hypocritical evil ppl I ever encountered.
