Hello! I would like to share my latest little project!
Recently bought a new vehicle and was quoted over $600 for a hitch install. I have a little trip coming up that would require both my mountain and road/gravel bike, so for the low price of $10.99 CAD and about 6 hours of my time (I am the furthest thing from a professional) I created 2 mounting points to my rear seats headrests.
My road/gravel bike is mounted by the through axel by simply threading it through a piece of PVC pipe.
The mountain bike was harder, originally I made 2 of the road bikes mounts but the compression adjustment and brake caliper on the mountain bike still got in the way so I decided to instead mount from the rear wheel and use a piece of dowel to secure it from rolling.
What do you guys think? any room for improvements? (other then my spotty craftsmanship)

Well done thats Very clever 👏
I thought you were /u/phillypharm at first, who had the exact same idea with the thru axle mount. You two should share ideas!
