Basically new! 4th ride overall on this bike, I’m getting a crunching/clicking noise while pedaling under load. I put it up on my bike stand and it’s pretty quiet while not under load but is quite load while pedaling. I believe it’s coming from the rear de-railer but I’m not sure what it would be, anyone have any ideas? I did notice that the chain doesn’t sit totally flush on the cassette (shown quickly at the end) is this normal or could it be the chain slotting down when it reaches the other side?

Is it every gear? Did you check chain wear?
Update – So I think it is from the “slack?” In the chain. The popping seems to be when the chain gets to the top or bottom of the cassette it popping down onto it. At least that’s what it really seems like after slowing it down with a little load on it, but it is hard to do without pedaling. Being that it’s so new does the chain just have to wear in or is this an incorrect chain?
