Caads r awesome. If you’re willing to fork over the bones I don’t see why not.

$800 for an alu bike w/rim breaks. Naw man. You can do better.

I would not pay $800 for an 11 year old bike. Sram component from that time frame were shit if I recall.

    This is a shit deal.

I bought a “demo” 2016 Caad12 with Ultegra (hydraulic disc brakes!) for around $1500 in 2017! I would not pay $1000 now unless I knew it was in excellant shape! But I doubt it is, and even way less it if was just 105? What may need to be replaced??

I have a CAAD12 and it is probably one of the best alloy frames ever made, but we are talking about a 10 year old bike that was 2000€ new.

Sure, you are getting carbon wheels but I am not sure you want carbon rim brake wheels, especially as a beginner.
The braking performance is shit and you need to be careful on long descends.

Depending on how worn the drivetrain is (chain, casette, chainrings) I would try to buy the bike without wheels für 300-500 and get a cheap alloy wheelset.
