In this episode: I got this frame for £10 and had it in the shed for ages. Then following another fixie build, I had some parts left over and so I thought I could put a Klunka style bike together. So with some stupidly narrow fixie bars, some wheels and a Custom crank set from a Raleigh Wisp, the bike came together very easily. The Wisp steel frame is a little ‘twisty’ and flexes a bit, but it looks so cool. With the BMX gold chain and flat MX pedals, just hop on and ride – simple!
After this bike was finished, it was painted olive green using Spray Bike powder coat system (In a rattle can) and then I took it on holiday to the South of France, where I rode the Port Grimaud bay area. Link below to the amazing campsite I stayed at.
An amazingly simple and smooth cruiser bike, especially rolling on fat Giant 40c tyres. It also had a Halo rear wheel, which was bomb-proof. Green ODI longneck grips go on all my rides.
