  1. Do you think 19 is too young to race the Tour de France, or is Paul Seixas special enough to handle the pressure of the world's biggest race? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below! 👇

  2. Funny I always thought when traveling through Europe that the US was behind the trend with transportation. Now if the rest of the world thinks we have it down, think again. We are thinking of "Going back to coal" WTF??? Our government is off the rails. It has been for quite some time and just getting worse. Stop looking at us the USA for direction our government doesn't have a clue!!!!!

  3. CAPTION: Once more you find yourself lost after having downloaded a route from komoot that casually let's you jump over two cattle-fences and cross a river

  4. Siexas could very well be thinking that he has peaked early than most other athletes and could very well risk his most fruitful years of he chooses not to race the Tour

  5. As a wider comment on many of GCN's recent output, it's great to see the around-cycling content. Have you considered looking into what happens to bicycles when they reach "end of life"?

  6. At this stage, any race will bring maximum pressure for Paul Seixas. The press will be haunting him anywhere he goes. So, let him start as soon as possible with his building experience giving us the pleasure of following his achievements. If he encounters problems with the physical demands of the Tour, he can just go home, at least I don't expect him to win the darn thing…

  7. Reference E bikes I believe that like many things in modern life, commercial drive is far more forceful than the legal apparatus that keeps us all safe, or there is an unwillingness to be proactive with the law due to the financial seduction taking place. The new technology floods the market and there is no law to deal with it. I live in a country where E bikes of every type rampage around, without their riders having a clue how to operate them safely, the Police cannot control the motor vehicle drivers, who abuse the cycle lanes freely without any care for the rightful users, never mind ebine users. My point is that if someone had told me 5 years before the invention of the ebike, I would have said, this will lead to serious accidents and bikes with unrestricted motors. If I can think of it then I am sure someone in government should have. The people riding illegal ebikes and scooters are a menace. The only way to police it properly is to say no ebikes on cycle paths they should be on the road and that will help the police in dealing with the issue.

  8. Yes go for it enjoy it all ..do your first no pressure and enjoy.. stay mostly with the team but if you have the opportunity to win a stage or to lead out a few days go for it.. stop and take lots of photos with your family along the way.. just enjoy it all..

  9. I'm excited to see him race.
As you pointed out, he can always pull out if he's suffering.
Miguel Indurain didn't finish his first Tour, and it wasn't until his 5th Tour that cracked the top 10.

  10. Cats don’t go crashing through the underbrush… You don’t see them until they’re in your ear. On a side note, we have a bobcat cross the road 100 feet in front of us a couple of years ago. They’re skittish and not stalkers like mountain lions

  11. Hmmm, dunno about those big cats in UK. We certainly have them in north-central Washington state with about 600 sq miles of roadless terrain here adjacent to North Cascades National Park. Neighbors get video of them time and time again (on porches, coming up to doorbell cams, more often with game cams). Maybe you need a few game cams set up. They will catch anything if it's there. But I especially like Dan's insight about the UFO's now that we all have phone cameras
