      The painting is entitled “Couch Theory” and its all about how the great feeling of laying on a couch is made so much better when its preceded by a hard effort like a century ride. 60″ x 48″ finished May 6th 2026

      Who is the subject? Were they actually posing?

      Ain’t nobody sitting or God forbid laying on my couch after a ride without a damn shower. My couch cost more than the bike, and the bike was eye watering expensive.

      Kick ass painting tho!

      Amazing work.

      If this was a painting of me after a century, it would be roughly the same, except instead of on a couch with a beer, I’d be on the ground right after the finish line, unable to walk, with the bike laying next to me.

      I’m a big fan of paintings within paintings and yours really captures the pride of a climb with the route highlighted on the opposite side of the valley. Great work!

      This so beautifully captures that beautiful bliss after a long ride. Things so mundane feel like such gifts after them: a shower feels like a gift from the gods, an apple tastes like gold, etc.
