Big fan of whatever this is. Would love to get some insight on the process you’re using!

Holy shit that’s cool. Where are the process shots? I can’t see your post history.

  3. Been wanting to do something like this with an old shogun frame I got. Definitely coming back to see how you did this.

  5. Just seen a Purple Ibex for $40 this week. But someone beat me to it…

This is beautiful. I love the teal/verdigris colours of oxidised copper. One of my favourite subs is r/copper

There’s a metal plating business in my city that offers services such as copper plating. They specifically say they can do bike frames. I’m hoping in a few years when I’ve got more money for hobbies I’ll get an old steel frame plated and let it oxidise to create a ratty scorcher

OP are you concerned about the bare metal parts of the frame rusting under the clear coat or will it be a design feature?

  9. Hot damn that finish is amazing. I read your process comment, inspiring stuff.

It reminds me of the Astana kits haha. Definitely wear that one when you go out for a ride. It matches!

Nice “shipwrecked” vibe. Can’t wait to see the finished product

  12. Head’s up, most clear coats don’t seal the frame and rust will probably happen
