Hi all. The astute among you will notice that there is no bike attached to my new pedal which is attached to my new shoe. The particularly astute among you may also notice that said shoe is the right foot while pedal may or may not be the left. Compounding the issue, I didn’t fasten the cleat securely enough to this shoe to prevent it now sliding around as I try to dislodge the pedal. Am I totally screwed? Will my LBS rightfully scoff at but ultimately save my sorry ass? Thanks!
Edit: 12 seconds after posting I used a little Allen key to pry it off. Thank you to those with suggestions. My shame is great.

Time for new bike
Proper r/BicyclingCirclejerk stuff
Attach pedal to bike, pull shoe out of pedal
I used a little Allen wrench to pry it off. I am sorry to bring such shame to this community. I will be by myself in the corner.
Use an 8mm allen wrench on the tool fitting of the pedal and use it as leverage to remove it
Grab a big pair of channel locks, clamp the outside of the pedal mechanism on this side of the pedal and squeeze it closed. The two halves of the clip lock mechanism are linked, closing this side will open the other side.
I had this happen to me on the trail last week. You need to jam something hard into the side under the pedal so the cleat doesn’t twist when you’re trying to release the cleat. I used a tire lever I carry. A beefy screwdriver may work too.
Put it back on the bike. You will struggle to get decent leverage otherwise.
Get a skinny but strong screwdriver and stick it into the gap between the axle and jaws that aren’t in use there (you may need 2 screwdrivers). Pry the jaws on the other side apart.
Hey presto!
Hey that is suppose to be on the crank arm not your shoe! Can we call this a win for flats, lol?
Thread into crank arm, twist. YW Bike wipe for money.
Don’t feel bad, we’ve all been there. I certainly have any way.
They will have to amputate your foot.
