Quick weekend overnighter before our Sweden trip in June.

Got a new bike this year so I could carry some more load. So far, so good, not much to complain about! Still need to figure out the handlebar height/stem length, but it's close enough, I guess.

The Ergon grips turned out quite uncomfortable without mittens, though, which is a bummer. The basket is quite stable and easy to pack. The rear rack too, despite the top platform being quite short.

The best upgrade compared to my 26" hardtail is definitely the bigger tyres. To finish up the build, I plan to add a cargo cage with a bag to fill out my main triangle, and some 1.5L Nalgenes in the front.

What you guys think?

Setup looks awesome. Did you run into any issues with anything before your big trip?

  2. Love that bike! I built exactly the same one for my gf. same handlebars (Kyote) because we built it with a Small frame. I recommend ESI grips…I use those without any gloves sometimes and my hands are just fine.
