Hi, in case anyone is scoping out options for twinning a Brompton electric with a kids trailer, here's our set up. It's the Queridoo Sportrex 2 (not available in UK, but easily purchased from Lidl Germany!).
It's a really easy ride with 2 kids totalling about 31kg, even over terrible pot holes roads. Haven't been up any major hills yet. About 2 weeks in.
The Queridoo is great as it has suspension and the conversion to a stroller takes 10 seconds and can be done with the 2 kids still strapped in.
Sorry if it sounds like an advert, but I found it such a struggle working out which trailer to go for and then it's a good chunk of money to shell out, so I thought I'd share.

I’ve got the same setup. Brompton Electric and a Thule Chariot double.
It works really well but you do feel it, and mines only loaded with 9kg currently.
I’ve used my wife’s electric dutch bike to do the same thing and you forget you’ve got it attached 🤣.
My Brompton dealer got very angry when they spotted the trailer coupling on my electric C line. They told me that the motor isn’t designed for the extra weight and could burn out. They told me that if they ever see my bike with the coupling installed again, they’d no longer honor the warranty.
The instigating event was that my motor broke down in a way they had never seen before. The mechanical coupling was stuck, meaning that the motor was always engaged with the wheel, even when turned off. The root cause could not be determined since the motor is not serviceable though.
