  1. My soil is terrible. No matter where I dig, there's no worms or insects. Only fireants. It's very sandy and nothing will grow. Including poppies. I've tried several times. They begin to grow green and leafy. Then, out of nowhere, they die.

  2. juice/blend when fresh, or steep/boil when dry. God's best for mankind. It's no accident that the kingdom of darkness has obscured our perception of the plant, and offered us myriad hollow and dangerous derivatives.

  3. You know I'm so curious about this because I have I think nine different kinds growing but I live in the Midwest and we have excellent fertile soil and the plants are growing great but I'm curious how well they're going to end up doing and if they even will bloom

  4. I have compact super dense clay that is mainly silt and it doesn't grow anything well besides cucumbers. I literally used 1000's of poppy seeds this year and I have 1 little plant. It is about to bloom. I hope to use those seeds next year. Maybe they will be more accustom to my crappy soil

  5. This isn’t true at all in my experience. I just had a 100% germination and sprouting success using a brand new bag of fox farms ocean forest dirt. I obviously thinned them out, but the 2 I kept are blooming beautifully and got about 2 feet tall. For my first year growing poppies I’d call that a success. I was definitely over watering a bit which stunted their growth.

  6. Okay… well then why have none of the thousands I’ve sprinkled out in strange places with sandy areas or just clear spots, made it past developing their second or third set of leaves… this is not any kind of ancient secret… the real wisdom is cold stratification. Put them in the fridge or freezer for a few weeks before planting them, and the first few weeks of growing are critical to balance between keeping them slightly damp and not directly in intense sun/heat.

  7. This is a ridiculous statement and absolutely not the case. Premium potting mix is the best soil for them. Also, weekly applications of humus/compost from week 4, followed by ash from your wood fire for the final month to aid in the flowering stage.

  8. Garbage misinformation spread by low skill gardeners. Absolutely love rich nutrient heavy soil. Your plants are tiny compared to what a well fed poppy will look like 😂🤦‍♂️

  9. When this flower is ripe, then let this poppy flower harden in the sun, then grind it in a mixer and dissolve one spoon of its powder in water and drink it, you will not feel tired the whole day, after eating drink tea or coffee with sugar, you will feel good the whole day.🎉🎉🎉👍😎

  10. Its also very important to talk down to them. I suggest every day you go out there and tell it "You're such a bad poppy. I can't stand you, you're so dang stupid."

  11. I wish I knew how to turn the poppy into the derivatives that are so beneficial in pain relief…because my asshole doctors will not let me have any decent pain relief….for five and half years now I have been in constant pain….I am finally getting my operation this year which is 5 years overdue….what a fucking joke

  12. I literally threw a few bags of seeds and some grocery store seeds over an area I cleared and laid dug up clay dirt on and they’ve all taken off like crazy.

  13. they like awful soil not a good compost. you see what you fail to realise is you are brainwashed to think you cant grow anything without extremely tedious specific rules or items and steps or methods. this was probably started by companies centuries ago that controlled the food supply and didnt want people to just go drop a seed in their back garden and grow their own food. because that is literally all it takes… my strawberry plant is absolute huge and all i did was drop a few seeds in the ground i didnt even water it….. how do you people think plants grow in the wild. they dont have humans to tend to them. wake up.
