Hello and welcome back to our channel!
We’re Helen and Andy, and we’re so glad you’ve joined us for this latest leg of our journey. As retirees enjoying life in our campervan, we are currently embarking on a “Grand Loop” around France. Our adventure started in the beautiful Saint-Benoît and is taking us through the most iconic sights of the Dordogne.
In this episode, we’re showing you our base for exploring the famous “Valley of the Five Châteaux”—the Camping-Car Park in Vézac. This site is a fantastic find for any vanlifer or motorhome traveler. It’s located right on the banks of the Dordogne river and offers incredible views of the surrounding cliffs and castles.
What makes this spot so special is the location. From the site, you can take a lovely, flat walk or cycle into La Roque-Gageac, which is consistently voted one of the most beautiful villages in France. It’s also just a short distance from the stunning Marqueyssac Gardens. We found this to be the most peaceful and convenient way to see these “big name” Dordogne sights without the stress of parking in the busy village
