Did my first bike packing trip on the scotland nc500 clockwise .What a experience left from london king's cross station pedal fell off 3km from the station (brand new bike ) got that sorted had to get a new ticket to inverness -so late arrival and a wild camp. All in all a brilliant route awesome place to wild camp but i don't think the london canals prepared for the elevation ,800 km and 8000 m elevation .I was definitely overpacked a bit i know for next time where to trim down . looking forward to another soon possibly the wolf way in suffolk .

Very lucky the crank didnt fall off mid way…. speaking from experience. Have you had a word with the establishment who sold you the bike?
