I ride from Volksrust to Piet Retief, in Mpumalanga, in South Africa.
After a lovely sunny morning and a roadside lunch, I see behind me a huge storm appearing. All the afternoon turns into an insane race against a storm that keeps on getting bigger and bigger. I am briefly caught in a hailstorm, but I somehow manage to quickly escape from it. I arrive in Piet Retief with the impression that I somehow managed to escape from the apocalypse.

The animals you saw in this video withong curved back horns are Sable Antelope indigenous to SA especially dry grassland areas and desert terrain. I did not know that they were farmed that way. Thank you for highlighting them.
Not once kino was mentioned in any publications in SA. Where were all the journalists.they really missed out.
Severrr Several years, struggle is real hhh

Been following you for over a year now and very proud to see your journey…..just to correct the statement at the end..it is actually blacks who are facing unemployment crisis and there are no whites who are qualified and unemployed. The whole unemployment rate is made up of non-whites
Youth unemployment in South Africa remains alarmingly high. As of the first quarter of 2025, 62.4% of young people aged 15β24 and 40% of those aged 25β34 were unemployed.it's bad for everyone
I wish some politicians would watch Yves' travels through SA and eventually realize we have mostly good honest fellow South Africans of all races who would like to live in peace and harmony, and not be bothered by hateful, dividing , communist rhetoric. Thank you Yves for showing us SA, some places I have been, where I grew up(eastern Free State) and places I have never seen and plan to visit. Much appreciated. Good luck and safe travels back to your home country(and the land of my ancestors). God speedβ€
Well done
