Just finished a little diversion from JOGLE to get some fast tracked elevation in through the Welsh
mountains
Found the traws eryri route and decided to give it a go, bare in mind my setup for the route is pretty unoptimal as I'm in the middle of a tour so went through on my gravel bike with about 20kg of gear on the back but nonetheless the route was amazing, lots of absolutely stunning views of the Welsh countryside around snowdonia, would definitely recommend giving it a go.
I ended up taking just over 3 days doing around 60km a day and then finishing with a short 20km ride into Machynlleth totalling 4500m elevation, legs feeling a little beat up by the end haha
I would definitely do it again, albeit with a mountain bike and a lot less gear next time hopefully making some of the climbs a little friendlier.
