The best type of e-bike for replacing car trips is the cargo bike. Sturdy, capable, and often able to haul lots of cargo or even multiple humans, electric cargo bikes are rewiring cities to adapt their infrastructure for more human-centric transportation. Parents are using them to take their kids to school, businesses are using them for last-mile delivery, seniors are using them to improve their mobility, and cities are using them to replace traditional car- and truck-based services, like snow plows and garbage pickup. #Transporation #Technology #Bikes

  1. I live NYC, and I myself have gone through just about every location shown in the video in Brooklyn, if I have come to any conclusion, motorcycles (DCTs and Maxi scooters specifically) are the most practical vehicle, not even a question. Vespa Brooklyn is right around the corner from Propel, definitely a better choice, and cheaper too 🤣

  2. These do gooders are funny. Why don’t they show or talk about the winter time? Non city living where things are really spread out? & the list goes on. Boston, MA has those stoooopid lanes everywhere. Great idea . . . . Let’s take a city’s street system designed for 17th century horse traffic & take away lanes for bikes. Now, the city is WAY MORE congested & no one can around.

  3. Just remember electricity may come from coal and other things other than solar and wind this is why im trying to find some way to limit the pollution. Even the internet is polluting just sending this message may use enough power to power a house for a year by time it gets to where its going but i love the idea and hope Australia follows e-bike and bakfiets

  4. Lots of those boxy cargo bikes are not compatible with ebikes. They do not belong on the bike paths. What's causing the backlash if these overpowered motorcycles pretending to be ebikes and we are going to lose if all if we don't solve that problem. Ticket speeders.

I want to use my ebike for emergency cargo but not wider than a normal bike with saddles and baskets.

  5. My cargo bike helps me freelance deliveries for many small businesses in my area and food delivery apps.
four batteries, two at a time on that bad boy give me a full day's of work.
    best 4k ive ever spent.

  6. So $2000 for a 'cargo' bike. What happens when there is 6 inches of snow outside, or the temp drops to -5? Or you have further to go than 5 miles? When I order door dash, these people are bringing this stuff from 10 miles away, you know how long that would take with a stupid bike?

  7. unfortunately the current administration does not want this. So sad becuase this could make a huge difference for our lives and economy.

  8. for some reason yall on the video not just looking like dorks, but i have a feeling yall lefties. and i hate lefties clowns cuz they tend to divide n destroy society.

  9. I got back into riding after a long time away and it's been great. I wish I had more chances to ride places but it's not the safest thing to do here in the US. There's a lot of victim blaming and negative attitude towards people on bicycles here. Lots of people in this country are either suppressing jealousy or are just heavily brainwashed into thinking driving a car is the "right" way to get around town. Humans evolved to walk great distances without getting tired, and a bicycle is the perfect machine to complement our long legs. We should have great pedestrian and cycling infrastructure FIRST, then think about cars second.

  10. I got my first electric bike about 15 years ago but got an electric trike that can haul 150 lb about a decade ago. Weather permitting I will always take the trike to do shopping rather than start up a piston vehicle! I have saved five tons of CO2 with my rooftop solar this year!
