My current frame (first photo) isn't right size and aggravates my upper back (bulging disc)on anything longer than a couple miles. While I was at my favorite local bike shop I spotted this chrome Raleigh hanging in the corner. Measured out to the right size and thus New Cheap Daily project was born. Parts are on the way, but my favorite drop bars (Nitto Mod 176) are being called back into service. Will post again when it's rolling!

How have you found riding in the drops with a building disc? I have a few bad discs, and I just cannot manage riding in the drops, I’m actively switching my steel road bike to more upright moustache style bars right now because of it
Hey man. Do whatever you need to allow you to ride comfortably. Experiment with different bar types and angles and heights. I hope you can ride comfortably again. I love bicycles. I have built at least 4 so far. Alas, I’ll have to sell a few eventually.
1960s/1970s Nervex head tube lugs! They just gotta be one of the most special sets of that era.
Salute for the commonwealth sticker 🫡
The Chrome Raleigh is such a legendary find for an everyday build! Can’t wait to see it paired with the Nitto bars.
That’s a huge difference in frame size. Sweet frame to convert to fixie!
