She was sitting in my storage unit for the last 8 years and was filthy. Had my bike guy do his thing, new brakes, chain, rear cog, tires, etc and pic 1 is the result. Then I replaced the Shimano PD-A530 pedals. I was going to get the updated version of the same pedal, PD-EH500, but then saw there was a recently released dual platform (SPD/flat) that was bigger, PD-EH510, so I went with those (pic 2 & 3). Attached some bags, which I'm still not sure if I like (pic 4), but still not done. My new PNW Range Gen 4 handlebar along with a PNW Coast stem arrived today and will be installing it this weekend. It's a fun ride indeed, heavy of course being all steel and such, but fun nonetheless. Running a 2.36 ratio/68.36 gear inches, which I may change in the near future. Originally this bike was sold as a mountain bike but when I bought it in 2012 I immediately replaced the knobbies with some Schwable Big Apple 29×2.5 tires. The new tires are Schwable Marathon E-Plus 29×2.15 with Schwable SV19AP Air Plus tubes. I've heard that combo has a good defense against punctures, without having to install a liner, but time will tell. Anyhow not yet complete but it is a fun bike to ride!
