Triumph Street Triple 765 RS vs Speed Triple 1200 RS how do both bikes compare?
In this video, I get straight off the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS and take out the 2023 Street Triple 765 RS to see how these two bikes compare and which one is the better bike.
Which bike would you buy?
I also attend the opening of Triumph Maidstone with my friend AJ The Honest Biker where we get to test ride the Street Triple 765 RS for the first time.
Thanks to Triumph UK for collaborating and loaning me the Speed Triple 1200 RS and Triumph Laguna Maidstone who kindly loaned me a 2023 Street Triple 765 RS for the day.

Nice review, Phil. I rode the 1200 RS the other week. What a weapon! Still prefer we my 1050RS as a road bike. Ride safe Bro
Nice comparison on the speed and street triple, both fantastic machines and great colours although I did like the yellow more , personally for the money I think I'd go for the 765 seems a lot of bike for the money, as for the tyres never rode on those , but I think I'd like something more suitable for the wet weather too , hope all's well Phil 👍🏻
What navigation software are you using on your phone to connect to the Cardo?
Nice comparison Phil. Both gorgeous bikes, both unfortunately a bit cramped in the leg for me. If I were smaller then the Street Triple would be the choice for me. Definitely still the bike of choice for Carol.
Awesome review Phil and very informative, both stunning bikes 👌
Nice comparison.. Great video. I have the black Speed 1200rs but must say that the orange looks great. I still have to try the Street but I'm sure it's a lot of fun on the back roads.
Hello again Phil, this is a very good view on these fantastic bikes. Two months ago i wrote, that i own a 1050 RS.
Now it's fixed and get a 1200 RS the next spring and i am really exciting! And yes, i think i will miss the
fabolous 1050, but the temptation to ride the new 1200 was to great. Thanks again for your brilliant comments
and also brilliant pictures! Many greetings!
Neither fits me very well, but I love them both. Especially the new colors on the street. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
Nice Review Phil!.. Had my Carnival red Rs since July and love it, i can relate to it being a bit harsh of a ride at times, and skippy on some surfaces, i don't know if its me, but after doing over 1000miles im sure it feels that bit better now.!.. next year i will take the time to dial in the suspension being adjustable after all.. i cant really coment on the tyres in the wet as havent been caught out in nasty rain showers…
God, the new Speed in Carnival Red does look sexy though!..🤤😍
Obviously take it a lot easier in the wet but have found the Supercorsas fine, backed up by lean sensitive traction control. Cheers Phil.
Streets a better bike every day of the week. It outhandles the Speed. I rode the Speed RR as well and really wanted to love it but the street is way better handling and better in almost every department. I sold my Speed 1050 last week and I can't seem to stop wanting that new Street Triple to replace it, or the Moto2 version would be even better. I'm even thinking of replacing my Daytona track bike with this new Street triple.
I've had my street triple RS since March and the Super corsas have been excellent but as I intend to ride my bike through the winter I'm changing to Pirelli Rosso 4s as they're still sporty but have much better wet weather tread. re the fuel consumption my average has been a not great 37mpg.
I'm like 30 yo and own a mt-07, I have a moto licence since this summer and rode a full season. Was thinking of getting a Triumph next year in Summer and was eye-ing the 765 RS and 1200 RS. Would you consider the 1200 RS an overkill or too much for some one with only one season? I'm not a speed demon by any means, but I really like the look of the Single Swingarm on the Speed, I'm actually more worried about the weight, I like doing twisties a lot and don't have many highways in my country.
You'll never go wrong with a set of Michelin tyres 😉
Well done, ignoring the man bun.
😅
You dont have to toggle to switch modes. Kust keep hitting the mode button.
Great review Phil , Been in that position a good few times !!!under a free or tunnel waiting on rain to go off 😁😁 street looks a cracker bike but like yourself I would go for the speed.👍 keep chasing the blue skies mate .😁😁👍
Very boring and strung out review
Hi buddy, there was a news about triumph and Akrapovic have signed a deal to produce exhaust for the bikes. Will there be any exhaust for street triple rs? It might be a rumour
Great camera/video quality!
Your talent brought much to theses bikes!
I hope Triumph recognizes what you bring to their machines!!
765 rs too smal feeling😫
Great video phil , grwat too see ya having fun ,be safe cuz
Both fantastic bikes. For me the Street Triple RS is just a fraction sweeter, but both put a huge grin on my face when I rode them.
Fabulous Bikes.. Michelin Road 6 tyres are the best allrounders by far.
