Just came across this listing and considering finally upgrading. I started biking around my city as my main mode of transportation in 2017 and bought a $250 Schwinn 564 as a starter bike to see if I stuck with it.

The Schwinn has been great, but minor repairs and maintenance have now totaled more than I paid for it. It would be nice to upgrade to something modern I can ride for a long time.

I’d like to get something used, good quality, and steel, looking to pay no more than $1,000 and ideally much less. Don’t need anything as fancy as carbon, but I like how light the aluminum Schwinn is- very easy to carry up or down stairs, no rack or fenders, etc.
