I've left this comment on your videos before. I'm all in on a fatbike future.
I absolutely love my Ti cargo fatbike and ride it year round. Super cush ride, and with the right tire and wheel choices they're faster than people realize.
I used to get a lot of punctures with my TPU tubes. I don’t have that problem anymore, since I started using one size bigger than the tire that I’m using. 32 mm tire, 35 to 38 mm TPU.
I’ve been using Ride Now TPU tubes for three years and have never had a valve failure. They definitely feel better than butyl tubes. As far as puncture resistance, all tubes puncture! If there is a difference it’s probably not detectable! The goat head thorns in California are equal opportunity tube destroyers. The tube type doesn’t matter!
a great saddle, probably one of my top suggestions (next to tires).
I stopped the video after you ran out of free ideas 😉

Move to Los Angeles from some cold ass UK town
Tubeless always and forever. Carry TPU on the gravel bike if i ever need them.
Not all Schwalbe Marathon tires feel bad to ride! When I'm touring or light bikepacking, I use the 38mm Marathon Efficiency and they feel absolutely amazing! Sure, they have more rolling resistance than GP5000s, but much less than any other comparable tires, especially ones with a puncture protection. If you are willing to trade 10 watts for a lot of comfort, more traction and peace of mind, they are a great choice!
Had my first puncture on tubeless this week. 3,300km of mixed terrain. Very happy with that.
I've had issues with latex tubes, the Vittoria ones have a bad seal on the valve but they've been absolutely puncture proof at 4 bar! And for the valve, just unscrew the core and put it in lithium grease to get a better seal.
I've only got a Scot MTB. But, I make sure that whilst sitting on the saddle I make sure that my feet can reach the floor. Am I doing wrong?
Why are the valves on TPU tubes so long compared to standard ones?
Há! Komoot is the reason I keep 4 season tires on all year… always end up on dirt/gravel somehow using Komoot, regardless of what it says
All of my friends that I ride with are on older skinny tire road bikes. I brought a gravel bike a couple years ago because of the larger tires. Love the ride and I can keep up with them no problem.
6:59😂
10:22 nah, the Schwalbe pick-ups absolutely never puncture – but I ride cargo bikes so flats on them are a pain so feel is what. I compromise to make sure I don't get flats easily…
Schwalbe Pickups + Tire Armor + Flatout… definitely overkill, but haven't had a flat in 600 miles; the last few setups I tired averaged a flat every 200-300 miles…was extremely annoying….

I run GP5000 AS TR in 35mm with Silca sealant and didn't even realise I punctured until checking tyre pressure 2 days later. I ride 1000km per month mostly commuting and have gone through a set of tyres so far with only that one puncture.
congratulations ! first time time I have heard anyone suggest fatter riders ( like myself ! ) should put more air in the tyres, and play around with pressure, far to much of the you have to be this PSI etc I ride 85 front and around 95 in the rear which is great for me but I would never " recommend " or tell someone thats the best each to their own
free shot at koomot x)
It's not cheap, but a bike fit will make a huge difference in your riding comfort.
I think we all agree, we need more Chef Jimmy content 😂
Agree on getting the bike set up correctly , and typically will need modifying, tweaking when you ride the bike , also agree on tyre pressures , look at the tyre figure the two extremes and aim towards the lower one.. tubeless always for me now as well
whose hand is in the thumbnail 😭
Silca pressure calculator is AWESOME!
I have only one thing to say.. bike fitting was the worst €300 I ever spent.. I went form knee discomfort to strong pain and 4 week of rest to have the knee healed.
What about balancing wheels? cheap and noticeable going downhill
2 Points you we're missing imho:
-Saddle, a proper good saddle ist in my opinion the most important thing for a smooth long ride.
-Handlebar: a carbon handlebar feels a lot more comfy than an aluminium bar. And if you dont want a monocoque or aero handlebar, they arent that expensive at all.
would you double tape?
Supercaz bar tape is pricey but it seems to last a long time from my experience
I bought a Shaulbe Marathon 28 for my commute road bike. Yes, it’s not as confi but I'd rather have it on than fixing flats, especially in the winter.
I run Pirelli P-Zero 700x40c on my Ribble CGR, so comfortable on long rides.
3,000 mm tractor tires, tubeless, 2.5 billion kilometers and counting, not a single puncture. Can’t complain.
Hi Francis. It was great running into you on Mandy yesterday. Hope to see you again at the Ponies or Nichols Ride soon! Wish you continued success!
Lever position: while you're at it, a lot of people may benefit from the levers slighlty tilted towards the inside. My hands feel so much more natural in the hoods now.
Can't be bothered with inner tubeless…. Rather tubeless running at 55psi flying and no punctures on 32s
Wherels? Ppoint? Come on mate… That caption was made after the pub wasn't it? Or was it just for the rage comments?
bro very nice Videos i love them!
have you ever heard, you look like linus tech tipps
