I got exclusive access to Tadej Pogačar’s actual race bike at Colnago HQ in Cambiago, Italy — and found something on the bike that nobody has talked about. This is the Colnago Y1Rs he rode at Milan-San Remo 2025 — world champion colorway, 1x drivetrain, and crash damage still on it. Full bike check and every spec.
This is as close as you’ll get to a pro WorldTour race bike without being on the team.

  1. The Poggio descent is where Milan-San Remo is won and lost. Most riders would have abandoned. Tadej descended it on a front wheel that was coming apart. Would you have? 👇

  2. The best rider in the world riding a 12 speed 1x set up should really open everyone's eyes. Makes me feel better about my 11 speed 1x set up with a bigger range cassette and smaller chainring. I am considering changing to a bigger chainring if my training goes as planned this season.

  3. Intriguingly, the Y1RS seems to be marked down a few graticules vs its competitors whether out and out aero or aero/all rounders from a ride feel, handling or ergonomics point of view. If you have the means to procure only one bike, with the Y1RS being one contender, would you be comfortable opting for that bike? It’s a genuinely interesting and complex question. Would you trade performance in some areas on the one hand versus the lore and the zeitgeist attached to the bike and to Pogacar that the Y1RS represents? Or would you select something that in a head to head comparison is lighter, or more planted on ~3000 feet descents, tracks bends better, has better tire clearance (future proofing) etc?

  4. That front wheel is pretty crazy. But yesterday I had the same issue on my bike after a crash, and at first I didn't even noticed it. Its al due to changed spoke tension

  5. 😅 …come on man, …its just bike racing…no need to keep hyping this…unless Colnago is given all of us discount ….I see just another bike. 🥱👍

  6. Been in love with cycling and its history since the 80s. Tadej is so far beyond anything i thought id see as a cyclist he reminds me more of coppi than merckx to be honest. Modernly he transcends cycling and reminds me of seeing senna race as a kid.
Even young i knew i wouldn't see that again same feeling seeing Jordan and maradona/messi. This is special. You can't explain to people just how crazy its for a cyclist to compete in sprints in roubaix while winning all the monuments and hardest summit finishes in tour.
Souplesse, bike handling, strength, mentality and class now with maturity and poise to use his team. Hex ik his prime right now and could be for next 4 years. Olympics, roubaix, and Vuelta are really the only bogeys out there for tadej. Still in 20s its just incredible again its senna like. You could see his lack of bodyweight working against him in every corner at roubaix same as last year against vdp the fact hes just so strong and able to ride such a tempo forever was like watching f1 with the different characteristics. If he didn't have tour GC and could bulk up hed be the most incredible racer. Its like a light car on the snow being thet light on the cobblestone it's not supposed to even be possible. The wind and exposure as well because it's flat the bodyweight creates its own momentum and he must push on pedals that much more because he can't carry the momentum through the corners like bigger guys. Musseuw famous quote about having big posterior was key to being able to ride the cobbles. Its completely true.

  7. Do you talk to people with this repetitive/predictable tone? I seriously doubt it because it isn’t normal or natural. It is the most annoying thing about your channel.

  8. Interesting to see what they've done to the rear rim on the 6.7s Chris given the UCI depth ruling. Can make out a 65mm label on the rear wheel at circa 0:41 👀😉😎
