Flew from Boston to LA for this ride. First time riding on the West Coast. Nursing an injury so I did a 50+ version instead of the full 100. Had a blast and met a bunch of really cool people. Sandy descents were out of my comfort zone, but the climbs were a lot of fun.

Can’t get much of a better introduction to the west coast than riding Owens Valley.

I did the WTF 70 route – sand and washboard surfaces were something else. The scenery was epic though.
