Building my first bike this week!!
Commissioned a Domane SL frame a few years back, so after saving parts and a lil money for tools the day has finally come to bring this to reality 💪🏽
After feeling like I got robbed at the bike shop a couple years back for a derailleur cable swap, I made the decision to do all of my own maintenance/minor fixes. This build definitely feels like the next step in the journey 😅
Everything on top is parts for the bike, and everything below are the tools I'm using. (Brake bleed kit is in the mail)
So far the cable management is the most confusing part, and I've had to brush up with Calvin from ParkTool for a few things, but it's starting to look like a bike! Will post photos once finished!!

Working on top of carpeting is pure chaotic evil. Maybe do that on top of some plastic, you’re almost guaranteed to get grease on the floor.
This reminds me of when I crawled out of my crib and got into some mischief. Was even able to use a basketball to climb over the rail. When they took the basketball away I figured out how to partially disassemble the cage and get out. Imagine what I could do with a whole set of bike tools.
