Just built a custom bike for the first time a couple days ago, riding it feels solid. I did a bunny hop today and this stem cap popped out. It clearly only was holding the first threads. I see lots of videos of people cutting their forks down, but the one I got seems like it isn’t long enough? Kink William fork, kink contender 2 frame, shadow treymone stem, and kink headset. Any advice would be super appreciated

Looks like yer stem is too high.. how many spacers do you have in between your headset and stem..?
If there is a spacer on top of the headset cap take it out. That is a quality top cap it may not have enough reach though. You can get a taller fork cap if you had to. Maybe a shorter headset cap i cant see from pic
Get a Odyssey fork cap it’s longer than the kink or any m24x1.5mm cap that’s the easiest fix since you don’t have much steerer tube length to work with or remove all spacers except the dust cover
Yeah deff need to pull some spacer out bro, that top pinch bolt isn’t even holding on the fork, glad the whole thing didn’t come off, that been bad especially mid hop. From what I can see it doesn’t look like you need any spacers at all, or a stem with less stack height
where you went wrong was buying kink parts
Take any spacers under the stem out, should lower the stem down the fork further and more threads for the cap to screw into.
Gotta take some spacers out like everyone else said.
Pic of the Headset would help. Maybe even the entire front end setup
Are the forks new? Bit weird if so.
Way too many spacers, your fork barely sits inside if your stem.
Kinda hard to be 100% sure from the picture, but it looks and sounds like your problem might be the headtube on the frame with a tall dust cap. The Contender 2 has a 5″ headtube, which is longer than normal, to “remove the need for spacers”. If your Kink headset is the same one I had, the dust cap could be too tall for the steer tube. I like my stem as close to the headtube as possible to reduce stress on the fork, so I rigged up a shorter dust cap from an old headset and used a really thin spacer (like 1/64″) between the compression ring and the dust cap to make it clear on my Sunday Darkwave, which also had a 5″ headtube.
