Our eight year-old daughter just got a brand new mountain bike, and naturally she wants me to start riding with her.
Obviously, we’re not doing anything crazy, riding around the neighborhood, and some laid-back trails. I wanted something pretty inexpensive, but not a total piece of junk.
I’m 6 feet tall, so I believe the size large will fit. I got the seller down to $250. Did I do OK?

It’s not a mountain bike but it’s a reasonable price.
Yes, for that specific use case of keeping up with a child on easy trails, you did superb! Enjoy the time with your daughter, you will both have a blast.
This is not a mountain bike, but it’s the perfect hardware for your use case, and the price seems more than fair.
Enjoy the time with your kid!
250 is solid, and that bike will hold up to a decent bit of riding for what it is. It’s decidedly not an MTB, but it’s fine for keeping up with kids, and in the right hands it’ll be pretty zippy.
