Never. If it gets you out riding, wear it. All the stupid rules about right or wrong brands, sock lengts, bib colors etc. is the single most annoying thing in cycling!

Friend I mean this with all sincerity and with a very healthy dose of self deprecation: we are riding bikes in spandex in public wearing wildly impractical shoes — wear whatever print or colors you want.
