Welcome back to Cycle Paths! In today’s video, we take you on a ride along one of the most beautiful and iconic greenways in southwestern France: The Roger Lapébie cycle track.

Starting from La Sauve near Bordeaux, we venture into the heart of the famous Entre-Deux-Mers wine region, pedaling comfortably on our recumbent bike. This spectacular 50+ kilometer (30+ miles) route is built over an old railway line, guaranteeing a practically flat, safe, and traffic-free journey.

What will you discover in this adventure?

Nature & History: We’ll pedal under lush tree canopies and cross old stone railway bridges.

Charming Stops: We’ll visit restored historic train stations, like the iconic Créon Station, which today serve as meeting points, cafes, and rest stops for cyclists.

Dreamy Landscapes: We’ll enjoy views of French vineyards, hidden abbeys, and picturesque villages with traditional architecture and beautiful historic churches.

The Recumbent Experience: We show you why riding this route on a recumbent bike is the absolute best and most comfortable way to enjoy the uninterrupted scenery.

💡 Fun Fact: Did you know this route is named after Roger Lapébie, the legendary French cyclist who won the Tour de France in 1937? A perfect setting to ride through history!
