Seems like we're all getting after White Rim trips the last few weeks! A friend snagged two camp spots for a last-minute White Rim trip. We did it over 3 days, starting Thursday afternoon and ending around noon on Saturday. We rode counter clockwise and camped at Potato Bottom and Airport. I've never been a huge desert person, but this was definitely worth figuring out the logistics and experiencing!

I started with 10L, friend started with 9.5L. We would have made it, but it would have been less enjoyable if a supported group wasn't staying at the same campground on day 2 refilling us so we could properly hydrate. While it wasn't busy Thursday and most of Friday, basically everyone in a vehicle that we came across offered us water. While I wouldn't bank on it, it was not hard to happen upon water. Potato Bottom also has river access if you can take your time and let the silty water settle (we didn't do it).

  1. I’m just a casual observer and lurker here but god do I love this. More than biking across a state from city to city, more than being in the woods. I need to figure out how to do this. Thanks for sharing
