I bought this for a few hundred dollars from my friend who got me into fat biking. This bike was so much fun, and fat biking is awesome. I'm installing a dropper post next week to make it a little more capable.

Those old Salsas are so cool!
Basically my bike and I can absolutely confirm the dropper post is a great upgrade. There aren’t a ton of options when it comes to 27.2 droppers with external routing though. I ended up with a no-name “FastAce Center Cabel” 120mm. It works.
Great bike to get into fat biking with. I have the same and absolutely love it. I added a PNW dropper and it definitely improves the already great ride.
