Told my wife I was downsizing to two bikes from three. Sold my third bike at a bike swap today. My plan for buying anything at the swap was to just find a new saddle for my Ritchey Road Logic after my Selle Anatomica broke. I had just been using a beater saddle in the mean time. But then saw this Ritchey Road Logic Breakaway, Ultegra 10 speed, with the travel case, for $250. It's got storage dirt and the drivetrain will need a major cleaning, but $250?! Credit card touring has been a growing interest for me and I couldn't pass it up. The travel case is in a bit of rough shape, but should still work for now. Later, I found in the case a full size Topeak frame pump. I'm pretty chuffed to own two Ritcheys now. I absolutely love my Road Logic. One step closer to a New England Autumnal bike tour now.

Nice! I too like Ritchey’s and do New England rides…..
N+1
I don’t need another bike, but 250 is 250…
Also, just got my first (only) Ritchey picked up from the shop today.
A SwissCross from Colorado Cyclist’s clearance a couple of years ago. Not nearly as financially responsible as your pickup, but new bike day is real.
Sick!
That’s sick.
Rim brakes and mechanical shifting?!? Unridable!! This is obsolete and wall art at best. /s
Friendly reminder, that you will never have the correct number of bikes if you stop buying new bikes.
Jokes aside, for $250, this is a purchase you make. No way I’m walking past that thing and not scooping that up for $250.
What does the credit card touring have to do with this rad bike?
Busted!
When I see bikes looking that good trading hands for $250, I wonder just how much more a $2500 bike could possibly bring to the table.
Hey fellow BreakAway owner! Mine has 22,000mi on it.
It has traveled with me to Las Vegas for the ride up Mount Charleston, to LA for riding around Palos Verses Estates, to Washington and Virginia and Texas and Georgia and North Carolina and Michigan. It’s even been to Hawaii for the 72mi and +/-10,000ft ride from Paia to the summit of Haleakala and back.
I have used it on the trainer for Zwift and with a flipflop seatpost and aero bars for time trials and in rainy crits, and tons and tons of riding. It’s such a tremendously good bike and it can travel.
Enjoy!
Ritchey steel rides so well
Well…. I woulda too
You see that isn’t a bike. It’s a tour guide.
I see Ritchey.. I upvoter. Love my Swiss cross but desperate for them to release a 50mm tyre clearance model
The Breakaway is legit, and for 250 with case is an unbelievable find – lucky you! Hope you get plenty of use of if it in the years to come
Thats a deal, even though oversize restrictions are no longer a thing these days.
Did the wife laugh when you came back with exactly the same number of bikes?
they basically paid you to take it!
You have done a bad thing. DM me and I’ll soothe your soul by purchasing this lovely Ritchey you scored! Seriously, I would have done the same. Jels! Great find!
Do you play ‘guess which way I’m turning or when I’m stopping’ with traffic?
