Took my first test ride yesterday. Neighbour had left it out for the scrap man, then, kids had jumped on the wheels and wrecked them. I rescued it before it ended up on the river and brought it home.
I'm a bit of a Sturmey Archer nut and had an 90's AW hub that I'd saved from a similar situation, so decided to combine the two.
It's my first go at building wheels and a local bike shop trued them, everything else is eBay or AliExpress to keep cost down.
It rides really well and loads of fun. I'll add racks as and when I need them for self supported camping trips. But reckons n it looks great as is for now.
Tyres are schwalbe marathon plus tour so should give good service too.
