My second cycle tour around Taiwan, filling in some places I missed last time, inc Alishan, Mt Wuling, Suhua Highway, and returned to some old favourites inc Hualien, Taroko Gorge and Taipei.

How safe or unsafe were the drivers? I rented a scooter in Vietnam and within 30 minutes I returned it because the drivers (particularly the truck drivers) were insane and drove like I didn’t exist.

I’m curious as to why you don’t use a rear rack. Is it because of the extra bulk in flying with your bike?
