Cinelli Vigorelli ’24 Rainbow

As many of us did, Kacper got into fixed gear after years of MTB and BMX riding. The perfect mix of speed, minimalism and independence – street riding a track bike was something that he had on his mind for a while and after seeing Cinelli on the streets of Warsaw, Kacper knew his first fixed gear will be from a renowned Italian manufacturer. Vigorelli, made out of steel though, was his choice.

Aluminium one came in as a second bike, more aggressive and stiffer, with this frame, owner’s interest with track racing began. Living close to the heart of polish track racing mecca (Pruszków Velodrome), obviously helped.

Another eye catching element of this build – wheelset. Carbon 55mm HED rims, light and laced to even lighter polish own Mack Superlight hubs in high flange variant, my personal favourite, probably on any fixed gear bike.

Though HEDs are less wide spread in Europe, Kacper had luck finding those wheels on local auction platform, yes we can all be envious of that.

Schwalbe Pro One in size 32, which, on track turned out to be a bit slippery, was the tire choice. At least those sidewalls work perfectly with the bold white lettering on the rims.

Amazing power transfer and speed at all times – that has been the experience with that wheelset.

Vision track crankset, paired with Rotor chainring – continuing the topic of efficiency and stiffness. 54×16 makes it 3,4 ratio, I did not hear those wheels skid even once ;(

Purpose built, track machine. Unmistakably Cinelli, feels fast standing still. Clean, aggressive and to the point, this thing feels and looks

new, considering track use did not leave much scars that you typically see on street used frames.
