  2. Brilliant! 5 or 6 years back, bought 2 of those imperials (a brown & a black), but the narrow ones. Excellent for the bikes they are on. Bought I think from chain reaction for £65 each. RRP then was about £90. Crazy how high the RRP is now. As the one you picked up was NOS (or barely used), then a very good price.
When you do a jumble price everything & take absolutely everything. I've sold mudguard eyelets, seat binder bolts, nuts & bolts. And if you want rid, then sell cheap.
And of course like car boots expect to come back with much unsold stuff.

  3. I think lack of choice is creeping into the MTB 26" (559) tyre size. Still available but getting the type and width is harder.
Nice haul and lots of stuff there. So few ,any, young people looking at the stuff. I think it's the same for pre-war cars sadly.

  4. The guy who sold you the bells is the curator of the Walton cycle museum in Warrington which has bikes dating back to 1800s, well worth a visit you will love it, visits by appointment only, let me know if you go as would love to meet up with you there Rowan. Love the channel one of my faves on You Tube.

  5. Bike-specific jumbles are fairly pointless for those wanting a bargain IMHO as the sellers know what they´re selling and the prices reflect this. Garage sales where non-bike people try to get rid of their superfluous stuff is where the deals at.
