In early May I’ll bike the #KatyTrail West to East. Due to some schedule change, I’ll now have several days to continue cycling after the Katy Trail East terminus in #Machens, MO (had been expecting trip to end in St. Louis). I don’t want to back-track on the trail but should have time to go any of North/East/South from Machens for another 200-400 miles/ 320-640km.
Any recommendations for nice routes in that area (I’m unfamiliar with it)? I’m on an All Terrain Bike so tarmac to single-track is fine. Camping or hotel. I’d just like to minimize time on busy, shoulder-less roads with inattentive drivers.
